Peer education

Studies in South Africa show that without a radical prevention strategy, the HIV infection rate amongst the 15 million children under the age of 15 will be 50% by 2010. As any parent knows, young people’s attitudes and behaviours are shaped as much by their peers as by anyone else.generationAFRICA is scaling up a proven peer education development  project across sub-Saharan Africa to give young Africans like Eugene the skills and the confidence they need to become positive role models and agents for change in their own communities.
