| Coming to terms with feelings of grief and loss following the death of their parents is a critical moment in the development of an orphan child. Until they are able to deal with their deep seated and often unexpressed emotions, many children will never be able to realise their true potential. generationAFRICA is identifying and training young people, | many of whom are orphaned themselves, to play leadership roles in local projects across Africa that are directly supporting orphans and vulnerable children. Activities include a wide range of camping, adventure, life skills, sporting and arts based projects which enhance emotional wellbeing. Many of these young leaders like Desmond go on to develop their own projects. |
